Some of my favourite work happens when creative people come together.
I love collaborating with talented wedding professionals — from bridal boutiques and dress designers to florists, photographers, make-up artists, venues and stylists — to create beautiful bridal stories that capture an entire feeling.
For me, a collaboration is about much more than creating pretty images.
It starts with an idea.
A dress.
A landscape.
A colour palette.
A beautiful old venue.
A wild bouquet of flowers.
A mood, a season or even a little piece of history.
From there, we bring our individual skills together to create something that feels cohesive, romantic and completely magical. Where hair becomes part of the story. Hair can completely transform the feeling of a bridal look.
Soft, windswept waves can bring a sense of effortless countryside romance.
An undone up-do can complement an antique lace gown.
Beautiful texture can echo wild florals.
A more polished style can bring elegance to a grand setting.
I love looking at the whole picture and considering how the hair, dress, flowers, make-up, location and styling can work together.
My aim is always to create hair that belongs within the story rather than simply sitting alongside it.
Creating with fellow wedding creatives. I’m incredibly lucky to work within such a creative industry, and I love discovering what other wedding professionals bring to their craft. Collaborations give us the freedom to experiment, play with ideas and create something that might be a little different from a traditional wedding.
They also allow us to showcase the incredible talent within the Yorkshire wedding industry and beyond — beautiful people doing what they love and creating something wonderful together.
